Downtown Tempe reaches out to Vegan Zombie Beer Club

On May 21, 2010 I remember sitting in a bar with my good friend Scott Searles discussing about business ideas and innovation. I had just mentioned about building community being important and Scott triggered the thought of starting a beer club in the Phoenix Metro Area.

A few months later we formed Vegan Zombie Beer Club, we put on a few events and quickly realized how unique of a style we triggered.

By May 2011, we were on the homepage of Ignite Phoenix After Hours.

Recently, we have been approached by the city of Downtown Tempe to partner and host an official Zombie Pub Crawl. Obviously excited we had to make sure it fit our primary focus in keeping everything LOCAL. Scott and I are advocates of LOCAL breweries, LOCAL restaurants and LOCAL everything else. I'm happy to say the city was completely on-board and our initiatives we're aligned great. We shook hands and are now planning our Zombie Pub Crawl event for October 20, 2011.

Many of the details are undergoing approval so I can't say a whole lot but with talking to the fine folks of the Downtown Tempe district it appears October 20, 2011 is going to be inexpensive, safe and a LOT OF FUN.
